Mp Cricket Academy Tour to India 2012

Pratik says....
India was the finest learning experience ever. Visiting India on a cricket tour in 2007 did not even compare to this. MP has helped me understand my game better, both physically and mentally. It was a Cricket tour that taught more than just cricket, it educated me about life. Playing matches and netting every single day was such a dream come true, I mean how many people get to do that? Cricket, friendships, some serious charity work, and of course more cricket over a period of 9 days was unbelievable and I will be attending this very same tour this time next year.
We were playing and practicing with professional cricketers every day, it was so unreal.
I have come back a much stronger, more confident and experienced batsmen especially against spin bowling as well as being mentally tougher; which helps with batting a long period of time.
If there was one thing I would change? I don’t know it was amazing, I miss it every day! The only thing I might ask for the academy to do a little more of is player analysis Often it is hard for a player to understand what’s wrong in their technique until they actually see it for themselves; e.g. I never knew my pick up varied from match to match. These small things go a huge way to improving any cricketer.
Thank you to Manoj Parmar, who is the best coach I have ever worked with, for the wonderful experiences that he shared with us.
Boys/Men….You have to come, Its seriously something special…

India has been an amazing experience for me, I have toured India before but not in this fashion
Manoj Parmar has helped me with specific areas of my game but also the mental side which will put me in great strides going forward not only with cricket but all aspects of life.
India is an amazing country with great talent and to have young keen cricketers testing you everyday was amazing, we spent time seeing the culture of India and understanding around the domestic side of the game in Rajkot and how difficult it is for any youngster. To be able to help kids from the age of 9 with there game was a great experience and really inspired me to do more in the future for kids who are not as well off
Manoj Parmar's hard work allowed the academy to present 100 bats to young kids and the joy on their faces no words can describe
I look forward to the next tour with academy in 2013
B. great start with temple and stadium maybe tired, but important to see culture of India . Great development of mental side of game everyday watching other players, playing everyday, coaching, everyday experience. . Playing everyday gives opportunity to work on game and develop a habit I.e backfoot and play with time . Playing with pros and young potential first class players . Great for players to learn language and food . Coaching day and bats helped to realise that certain kids do not have anything . Match experience, batting with indian boys helped me with my game . After match experience seeing different parts of India . Being independent on tour, good for personal development I.e travelling to games alone, using practice sessions wisely . Great to give bats away great for academy . Made new friends and shared their experience I.e your experience, youngsters and other pros . Having a home ground helped us understand that wickets can play differently all the time . Super hotel, great facilities
C. More analysis and review with individual with video or during practice . After practice chat to ensure we all realise what we learnt so we are ready to use in game, therefore practices are more structured . Ensure players are more pro active before tour to support academy e.g bat sponsorship money to help pay . Prior to tour to have brief knowledge of domestic cricket in India to help with understanding (it's not just sachin tendulkar scoring a lot of runs, domestic cricket is tough) Curtly Slatter......
I thought that the tour went really well for me because we were playing cricket everyday and I think that I have benefitted from it. The best part for me was playing against spin because this was a weakness for me because I didn't have very many scoring options but now I've learnt to play spin on the front and back foot which has improved me as a player quite a lot. Something that I would improve about the tour would be that the players get more time to theirselves so we are able to have time to relax because we seemed to be going all the time. I don't think it was a bad thing because we got to see a lot of the Indian culture which was a really good experience. I would also say that we should have had more days netting and a few less matches.
From curtly Ben says:
India tour was a unique experience for me. I played good level of cricket and with good players. I learned a lot about cricket and learned different approaches to the game. I also learned about spin bowling. I laso enjoyed the social aspect of the tour such as going to different places in the evenings. Being in Mumbai for a few hourse was also good. Overall it was great experience for me.

Feedback from india tour.
To ,Manoj
Thank you for taking curtly to India with you in February.
He had an awesome time, not only playing cricket in indian conditions, but the whole experience of the different culture and the coaching he did with the needy children.
We are sure the things that he saw and learnt will stop with him for a long time and have improved his over all life experience. He was thrilled to have been able to give out the free cricket bats to the needy children and see just how much they appreciated them.
He can't wait to go on the tour again next year.

Stephen Beard Says :
As a member of Thame Town Cricket Club and chairman of the youth committee it has been my privilege to see the development of so many talented young cricketers at the club. Without doubt
Manoj Parmar has to take credit for this and for the enthusiasm he installs into youngest to play the game.
Manoj is also highly qualified, being an
ECB level 3 coach. He has a talent for immediately identifying little faults in players techniques, which corrected can make a major improvement in players performances. My own son Michael Beard has certainly benefited from
Manoj's coaching and also from the sharing of his experiences, advice and encouragement. These influences have made a contribution to Michael setting his goals high and achieving selection for the England U15 squad this season, culminating with him playing at Lords.
I would certainly recommend
Manoj to anybody wishing to improve their standard of performance at what ever level that may be.

David Charles Says : Manoj Parmar is an excellent cricket coach. He is encouraging and supportive with the ability to give accurate, simple and specific advice and criticism. In our opinion, Manoj is by far the best coach we have encountered in Oxford Shire for our son
Huw Charles. Our son has enjoyed his lessons for the past two years and is continuing to learn from him.
John Rooney Says : My son received intensive coaching from
Manoj prior to the start of this season. His wealth of knowledge, approachable manner and ability to get the best out of an individual, combine to make an outstanding cricket coach. We will use him again and I whole-heartedly recommend him to anyone requiring the services of a coach.
Richard Beardall Says : Manoj has coached my son for the last 3 seasons during which time his technique, skill and enjoyment of the game has improved enormously. Manoj's knowledge of the game and skill as a coach are unquestionable, but it is also his ability to establish an instant raporte with the boys and it is their respect for him as an individual and as a cricketer that brings the best out of the boys. He concentrates on both cricketing skill and on the physicology of the game, on building the mental and physical stamina this is needed for the boys to get maximum enjoyment and achievement out of the game. As a father it is very satisfying to watch the enjoyment the boys derive from coaching by Manoj turn into enjoyment and achievement on the pitch. I would have no hesitation in recommending Manoj to any of my friends.
Philip Ketteringham Says : I have known Manoj now for over 10 years, since my son first took an interest in cricket and during that time, I have regularly taken advantage
of his coaching skills, firstly for my son and more recently as Colts Chairman at Amersham CC and most recently as Chairman.
Manoj not only is an excellent skills coach, but also gets the players to think about their game, creating the right mental attitudes, both on and off
the pitch. I would have no hesitation in recommending him either for one to one or group coaching.
